Maxim Gorki Theater
Maxim Gorki Theater
The Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin is one of the Berlin ensemble theaters. Built as a concert hall for the Berlin Singakademie, it reopened as a spoken theater in 1952 and has since consistently set decisive artistic impulses. Located between Humboldt University and Museum Island, the theater is a place for transdisciplinary exchange and political debate using artistic means across genre boundaries.
