Since 1972, JiM has opened the way to cultural education for children and young people with creative offerings and promotes diversity-sensitive, global learning. The focus of our educational work is on one's own artistic and creative activities, inspired by encounters with Berlin museums. Through art, culture, nature, and technology, children and young people learn more about world knowledge and world cultures. Exhibition visits inspire, broaden horizons, and above all, are fun!

Our artistic director Beate Gorges and a team of mediators regularly design workshops and holiday programs here. The OPEN STUDIO invites children aged 6 and above to experiment with artistic materials and express themselves creatively every Wednesday (except during holidays) free of charge and without prior registration.
